Kick-off to the in-house exhibition season - Plenty of Good Reasons to Look Forward to the 2027 Cycling Season
Hoya, 2. September 2026: The in-house trade shows in Hoya and Hanau gave specialist dealers their first comprehensive look at HARTJE’s diverse portfolio / New products and models create an optimistic mood as the pre-order phase gets underway
Hermann Hartje KG kicked off its 2026 in-house trade show season in mid-August, marking the start of its pre-order phase. Following the traditional opening event in Hoya from 14 to 16 August, a premiere followed one weekend later: for the first time, Hanau was included in the brand distributor and wholesaler’s trade show calendar. The regional in-house trade show at Congress Park Hanau followed much the same format as the larger event in Hoya, with plenty of good conversations, an optimistic overall vibe and a very positive response to the new product ranges, particularly in the e-bike segment. Across both locations, the trade show teams welcomed around 1,400 guests.
At the heart of the events was a broad-ranging programme featuring the latest products from the CONWAY, VICTORIA, QiO, CONTOURA, NOXON and CHIKE bicycle brands, as well as parts and accessories brands exclusively distributed by HARTJE. CONTEC showcased its latest parts and accessories highlights, while at HARTJE’s headquarters in Hoya, the focus for the company’s own parts and accessories brand was on presenting its newly restructured wheel range and configurator (Wheel configurator) , accompanied by presentations and guided tours of the ongoing assembly process.

Forty brand suppliers, a varied programme of exhibitions and presentations, and an expanded test track in front of the entrance made the Hoya in-house trade show an engaging and informative opening event for the next season. The opening trade show in Hoya also traditionally provides an early indication of how confidently specialist dealers are approaching the new season. “The mood throughout the season had already been generally better than last year,” says Alex Gripp, Regional Sales Manager Bicycles for Northern and Eastern Germany. “That was also reflected at the in-house trade show.” Dealers reinforced this impression with an increase in registrations for the event and higher order volumes placed directly at the show.
New Models, Drive Systems and Services in the Bicycle Segment – “We Clearly Struck a Chord”
The positive atmosphere at the show was given a further boost at the stands of CONWAY, VICTORIA and HARTJE’s other bicycle brands.
Jens Steinhäuser, Head of the CONWAY Business Unit, sums it up: “With our new model range built around the BOSCH and AVINOX drive systems, we are once again offering outstanding value for money. The portfolio is complemented by an extensive gravel range and a wide selection of bikes for children and young riders. We are heading into the new season with plenty of momentum and are delighted with the many positive responses from our partners.”

Alexander Gripp of VICTORIA says: “The entire range was very well received. With the updated UTILYON model family and the new CYSALO, the overall structure now offers an exceptionally well-rounded portfolio.” Above all, however, VICTORIA’s new VELOA models – featuring rear hub motors and batteries integrated into the frame tube, with RRPs of no more than €1,999 – were a major talking point at the show. “We clearly struck a chord with these models.”

Commenting on CONTOURA and its new configurator, which is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2027, Ewald Hoedl, Regional Sales Manager Bicycles for Southern and Western Germany, says: “The new direction was welcomed across the board. The new configurator has received a very positive response from existing CONTOURA customers, underlining the importance of this decision.”

Children’s and youth bicycle brand NOXON also presented a comprehensive refresh, featuring a new design and newly developed frames in sizes from 14 to 26 inches. CHIKE and QiO – with several new Compact and Long models – rounded off the diverse product portfolio.

The next in-house trade show takes place in Potsdam from 28 to 30 August. This will be followed by regional in-house trade shows in Vojens (Denmark), Grimbergen (Belgium), Augsburg, Zutphen (the Netherlands) and Kremsmünster (Austria). Each location offers our dealers an excellent opportunity to discuss and plan for the upcoming 2027 season with confidence
