A compact and versatile range for modern everyday and family mobility
With its compact bike and longtail, QiO covers a wide range of modern everyday and family mobility needs, which can be adapted to a wide variety of requirements thanks to its extensive range of accessories.
For the upcoming 2027 season, QiO has expanded its Compact and Long model ranges with three new models. New accessories further increase the range of options for adapting both models to individual needs: from everyday use and commuting to touring and various cargo transport options, as well as carrying children and adults. Most of the accessories can also be used with both models.
Both models also share the unique frame design, particularly due to their identical construction up to the head tube. As a result, the models are not only similar in appearance, but also in terms of their balanced and intuitive riding characteristics.

QiO Long CL5x – New family bike in the mid-price segment
Since its market launch just over a year ago, the QiO Long has established itself as a well-designed longtail cargo bike with high-quality equipment and exceptionally smooth and reliable riding characteristics. This is the feedback received from the cycling press and specialist retailers. Or, as the first test reports put it, as “a comfortable family bike” with “style appeal”.
Priced at 4,999 euros, the new QiO Long CL5x is positioned almost exactly between the P9 (3,999 euros) and the CLAx (5,699 euros). Its equipment combines features from both models. From the CLAx, for example, it gets the Cargo Line drive unit, the 800 Wh battery, the Suntour Mobie 34 suspension fork and the Gates CDX belt drive. From the P9, it adopts the Briq-S headlight from Busch and Müller as well as the non-suspension seatpost. The CL5x uses a Shimano Nexus 5E hub gear system.

QiO Long Accessories:
Rail System
The three-part rail system for the rear section has been updated: on the front section, the “Rail Front”, which can also be used separately as a grab handle, the centre section now extends further downwards, giving passengers' hands more space between the rail and the suspension seatpost. All three parts are also available separately. For the centre section, there is a choice between the “Rail Middle Fix” and the “Rail Middle foldable”. The foldable version can be opened by pulling the handle. In the open position, the centre section locks into place and therefore cannot fold down.
Trail Adapter Long
The new Trail Adapter Long for trailer couplings is mounted on the rearmost crossbar. It is compatible with all common coupling systems and is secured to the inside of the frame with two screws.
CONTEC HTM Tray L
Accessories are what make a cargo bike complete, which is why qio-bikes.com/zubehoer/ offers an extensive range. For the 2027 season, the versatile CONTEC HTM Tray L completes the range of front carriers for both the Long and the Compact. It features a Klickfix mount, accommodates MIK system baskets and carries up to 20 kilograms. Cargo on the large 30 x 40 cm loading platform can also be secured using the integrated elastic strap.
QiO Compact: 8 x 8 + Accessories
For the 2027 model year, the QiO Compact is available in eight models and eight colours, with a wide range of accessories – confirming the slogan “One bike fits all” more than ever. Two models are new:
QiO Compact P8
From the 2027 season onwards, the QiO Compact P8 represents the new entry-level model for high-quality compact bikes with a high permissible total weight as well as balanced and natural riding characteristics. The entry-level model is now also based on the new frame introduced last year. The drive system includes proven components such as the Bosch Performance drive unit with a 540 Wh battery, transferring rider and motor power via a chain to the Shimano Nexus 8-speed hub gear system. Other equipment features include the Briq-S headlight with 60 lux from Busch and Müller and the Bosch Purion 200 display.
This gives the Compact P8 everything needed for everyday city riding and tours in the countryside, combined with balanced riding characteristics and all the advantages of a compact bike.

QiO Compact PXSIX+
One special feature of the new QiO PXSIX+ is the “+” at the end of the model designation. It indicates that, within the permissible total weight of 180 kg, the rider may weigh up to 150 kg. This is made possible by pedals, the seatpost and the handlebar designed to accommodate this weight. As with all other QiO Compact models, the payload can also be distributed between the rear carrier (27 kg) and a front carrier (observe maximum payload) – or a trailer can be used.
The other special feature is the new gearing system: for the first time, a QiO Compact features the 3x3 SIX hub gear system with – as the name suggests – six gears. Together with the Bosch Performance Line PX drive unit, the QiO PXSIX+ offers clearly defined gear changes with even 24 percent gear steps. This provides the right drive for everyday use in the city, countryside riding, commuting and touring on moderate terrain.
Tours can also be longer, as the 800 Wh battery positioned behind the seat tube offers plenty of capacity, while the Briq-S headlight from Busch and Müller, with its 60 lux output, reliably illuminates the way home even in the evening.

QiO Compact Accessories
Trailer Adapter Compact
Anyone who prefers to transport their belongings or their dog in a trailer rather than on the rear carrier or one of the various front carriers on the QiO Compact can choose the Trailer Adapter Compact. It is mounted on the chainstay, can tow trailers weighing up to 60 kg and is compatible with common coupling systems.
Reflective Cover
Cover up and be more visible: the Reflective Cover performs three functions at once: it is the matching cover for QiO baskets and bags, reflects headlight beams and is also waterproof.
Lock Adapter
Until now, the frame lock option was only available for QiOs with a rigid fork. The new “Lock Adapters” now make it possible to fit one of the QiO frame locks to a QiO with the X suffix as well.
QiO Payload Calculator
The permissible total weight is the combined weight of the bicycle, rider(s) and luggage that the bicycle is permitted to carry. For the QiO Compact, this is an impressive 180 kg, while the QiO Long can handle a total of 200 kg.
The payload calculators on qio-bikes.com show exactly how the payload can be distributed on the QiO models. The online tools provide an intuitive way of highlighting legal requirements while also offering greater confidence in everyday use.
With the calculators, the model is selected first. Based on this selection, the rider's weight is then moved to the correct position using the slider.
For the QiO Compact, this is followed by the payloads for the rear carrier and the optional front carrier. The final graphic automatically displays the result of all previous entries, including information on how much additional payload capacity remains.
The principle is virtually the same for the QiO Long. In addition, there is a detailed selection of accessories, including the individual rail components (handle section, backrest with padding and the centre section options, max. 4.0 kg), seat pads (0.8 kg each) and additional bag options.
