Martin Wetzel, Head of Bicycle Sales at Hermann Hartje KG, will retire at the end of June 2026 after more than 30 years of service for the brand manufacturer and wholesaler based in Hoya.
Martin Wetzel began his career with Hermann Hartje KG on March 1, 1996, initially as a field sales representative in the bicycle division for the Schleswig-Holstein region. Step by step, he developed into a respected leader in bicycle sales. Throughout his career, he subsequently served as Sales Office Manager and Regional Sales Manager for the sales offices in Kiel, Hamburg, and Aarhus. In 2015, he assumed responsibility for Sales North/East, and from April 1, 2019, he also took over the overall management of Bicycle Sales.

The future Bicycle Sales team in Germany consists of Sales Managers Alexander Gripp for the North and East and Ewald Hoedl for the South and West. The team has been working together effectively within its current structure since the beginning of the year. Both Sales Managers report directly to Managing Director Dirk Zwick.
Future Sales Team Well Established
Alexander Gripp has been responsible for Regional Sales North-West for the past six years and knows the bicycle market from various positions within the sales organization of the brand manufacturer and wholesaler.
Ewald Hoedl has been working for Hermann Hartje KG since the beginning of 2026. For his region in the South and West, he brings extensive experience gained from previous sales positions and other management roles within the bicycle industry.
